The report from the Audiovisual Production Observatory of Pompeu Fabra University highlighted the positive situation of Catalan productions, which broke records in 2024 with Catalan production companies participating in 114 films within the Spanish film industry.
The same report states that thanks to “Buffalo Kids,” “El 47,” and “Casa en flames,” Catalan films doubled their box office and audience numbers. These three titles accounted for 53% of total admissions to Catalan cinema. “Buffalo Kids” was the highest-grossing film at the box office.
